CloudOrigin advises on The Key Management Buy Out
Isfield Investments, a family office, has completed its acquisition of education support services firm The Key.
Richard Hall, CloudOrigin Chief Executive, led the Software as a Service, IT systems and Operational Due Diligence on behalf of Isfield and provided post separation advisory services.
The deal saw Isfield back The Key’s management to buy the firm from Ten Education. Sources close to the matter said the deal was valued at around £18 million.
Isfield Investments, whose directors include former HgCapital chair Ian Armitage, will also provide money to support the firm’s expansion plans.
Fergal Roche, The Key’s chief executive, said in a statement: “We are enormously proud of the quality content we are able to provide for our school leaders and the data and insights we give to our partners in local authorities and academy trusts.
“We are delighted to have found in Isfield investors who love our business and who want to help strengthen school leadership.”
The Key employs a team of researchers, who provide answers to questions on subjects such as curriculum, school improvement and administration.
Its products, which also include Ten Governor Support, are used by more than 50,000 school leaders in over 9,000 schools.
