Eka Ventures joins £1.74 Million investment in cargobike startup HIVED
The latest investment was led by climate tech seed fund Pale Blue Dot and joined by Eka Ventures, Blue Impact Ventures, The Fund and several angel investors, including logistics experts who will sit on HIVED’s board.
CloudOrigin provided Technology and Operational Due Diligence advisory services to Eka Ventures for the fourth time. CloudOrigin CEO, Richard Hall, added “We are delighted to have worked with Eka Ventures on all their deals so far, and HIVED is a fantastic addition to their portfolio of environmentally friendly, high impact firms. While cargo bikes are a very familiar delivery method, the technology innovation brought to bear by HIVED’s founders makes them even more efficient, and the ideal parcel delivery fulfilment for many of London’s best known retailers.”
According to Hampus Jakobsson, General Partner at Pale Blue Dot says, “Transportation is a sector that gets a lot of focus in the climate space, but there hasn’t been a significant pull to shift the market over to emissions-free solutions. HIVED is tackling this problem with a new approach that promises to take all stakeholders into account: the customer, the delivery person, as well as the city’s inhabitants.”
